Archery GB is the national governing body for archery. For those participating in archery classes for kids or junior archery training and wishing to compete in tournaments or attend other activities outside of Artemis sessions, joining Archery GB is a requirement. The current membership fee for a junior member is £25 a year. Archers can either join Archery GB directly or opt to join Deben Archery Club, which provides Artemis Archery with the shooting ranges we utilize. However, archers who only wish to shoot at Artemis sessions do not need to join Archery GB, making it accessible for those interested in youth archery programs.
Coach Anna is a member of the coaching team at Deben Archery Club. Parents who are tired of just watching their young archers can sign up for a beginners course with Deben and start shooting themselves. Deben offers beginners courses routinely 2-3 times a year. For those looking for a quicker option, check out Anna's Personal Coaching page.
Anyone joining Deben will have the opportunity to attend club sessions twice a week and shoot alongside members of all ages. Juniors are welcome to participate in youth archery programs but must have a parent with them at all times since these sessions are unsupervised by coaches. Juniors under 12 years old must have a shooting parent present, making it a great way to engage in junior archery training together.
